Bots have come a long way and I think the chess.com bots are quite fantastic, however, playing chess against living breathing opponents is far better. Much thanks to the kind streamer and his followers for encouraging me to try "live" opponents online.
Not sure if this is common, but I thought my rating was somewhere between 1200 to 1400, because I beat a few 1200 bots and one 1600 bot. Well, on this site, I am far below that rating range.
So, if looking at the bots as a "pool of players" is it just that humans on here are more challenging? Thoughts on this subject welcome. I'd love to hear your experience.-TIA ChanelNo5x
In short, the bots on the lower end of the spectrum (probably less than 1700 even) are very much overrated. As one person put it, "It is hard to have a computer play badly but not too badly."
