Can't seem to find what I'm doing wrong

I've been playing chess for some time, and I can't seem to understand what I'm doing wrong. I've hit a plateau at 1000 rating and can't seem to see what I'm doing wrong. I've been doing drills and such on chess.com as well as playing computers, I've cleared up to 1600, but against live opponents I'm always messing things up. Any tips?

Look carefully before making moves
I’m the same as you just at 876 against live.

I'm rated just over 800 in rapid (I play 30 minute games) and find myself in a similar situation.

Eliminating blunders and mistakes and capitalising on your opponents is my main aim at the moment.

I do find I can beat the bots rated up to about 1400 and have drawn against some of the higher rated ones but find that playing real people at the 800 mark or lower is more difficult.

I went back and played the Aron bot rated 700 and it made blunders that I just don't see in real people at that level. Some say the bots are overrated but I think the opposite.

Also it may be that with no time pressure and the fact "it's just a bot" makes you play more confidently.
