Clear history?

Hello,

Just curious if there is a way to clear your history on your account. I'm pretty bad at chess and it bums me out seeing all my loses stacked up. Can I clear my account and start over?

Thanks,

No there isn't. The site needs to keep all the games available to insure the integrity of its database. The games you played affected other people's ratings too. If they erased your profile, what would happen to the files of your opponents?

You don't need to worry. Other than you, nobody will take a lot of time to look at your old games evn if you post something like this thread drawing attention to them. You on the other hand, should look over your past games to figure out what you did wrong. If you dropped your queen ten games in a row, maybe you want to keep a closer eye on her majesty...

I looked at your last game for two minutes.. I see that your opponent offered you a free queen.

You didn't take it. Did you forget about your queen? Instead of simply taking his queen, you ran away with your king. Next time somebody gives you check with a piece, at least ask yourself if you can take that piece instead of running away....

From that quick look, I could see that you had only developed your queen. You hadn't developed any of your other minor pieces (knights and bishops) until after after you had made a bunch of weakening pawn moves. Don't play f6 on your opening move. It is terribly weakening (for your king's safety.)

This is your chance. Take a bunch of lessons on how to open a chess game-- not on a particular opening but on the basic ideas of how to open a chess game and develop your pieces and get your king safe and so on. Spend a little while learning about that and other beginner topics and your rating will soon be headed in the right direction.

Thanks for the reply happy.png I like what you had to say, I'm not one for studying my old games but it sounds like a habit I'll have to develop.
