Defeating Noam Bot

I’ve finally put an end to his reign of terror, after dozens of losses at his cold, inhuman engine hands.

Great game!

Good opening choice with a solid Nimzo-Indian. Probably a few criticism i have is the decision to take on e5 which just ruins the structure & the Kh1 move that just wastes some time but other than that, great game! 
Additionally I think a4 could’ve been played a lot sooner to anticipate b6 and respond with a5… because once Rb1 is played and black consolidates with b6 and Bb7 (which they didn’t do), they have some play on the diagonal

Taking on e5 is something that I knew was bad, but I was getting impatient and decided to capture for the sake of capturing, since I was playing this game on the toilet and therefore had other things to concentrate on lmao.

I don’t know why I ever played Kh1 though, I guess my brain just turned off completely for that one. :)

I understood why they bots sacrifice material like that...

"If in one moment in the game the engine finds that it's, say, Mate in 10 (impossible to see for most humans), it will say, you know what, I'd rather it be -20 down a Queen and a rook, than M10! because M10 is much worse... Stupid engines...

p.s this bot is supposed to be 1700 why is he hanging mate?...

here 19.Rxg2+ is M8...

and also it says hes 1509 and that im 1700 which is not true

 

The only difference is that here the post game engine analysis showed that Noam Bot had a move that equalized the position.

Yeah ur right it is strange... But I guess it's not really possible to make bots humanized... they will always just be very tough to beat and at some point in the game make a stupid mistake that completely loses (in my case it was actually just grabbing a pawn, but it leads to mate... That SEEMS more human to us, but to an engine, hanging a queen instead of exchange is much less severe of a mistake than hanging mate... i guess... your game he "only" blundered a +18 advantage... in my game M8...)

Notice that good players don’t brag about beating bots, because they have actual achievements.

BroiledRat, I’m interested in why you are so antagonistic against me. I know that I am not a good chess player. I play on the side, music is my true vocation.

My recent post wasn’t me “bragging” about beating a bot, and for you to suspect that illustrates that you perhaps have poor judgement. I was just happy to have finally won against a higher rated bot. That is all.

Lol. Now this has become a mess, but it already was. It seems that I perhaps did wrongfully leap and assume that you were referring to me, because, a few moments earlier on the general discussion forum, I was asking a question of if me beating a 2000 rated bot was a fluke or not. I wrongfully assumed that you checked my profile, which people do often, and formed some erroneous judgement about me.

At any rate, I apologize for the confusion.
