drawing games

I keep drawing games for some reason, and I can't seem to spot when I will play myself into a draw... How can I avoid this?
Yea, well, against the computer... I always start out really strong and then somehow I just dip :/

Sounds like you need to do some puzzles so you can get better at tactics. Although against the computer its really hard to gain material. Most likely you need to gain space and keep your pawn islands strong, so you can win the end game.

You may need to study endgames so you will know which positions will be drawish and which are winnable. And if you don't possess adequate endgame technique you may be turning winnable positions into draws.
