Game collection of Caro Kann

the reason i peeked at this thread i also play/played the caro kann and, curiously odd, found it more difficult to find annotated/analyzed master games in caro kann
i started having difficulty in this opening when i started facing stronger opponents who had a good 1. e4 game
i could get away (for awhile at least) getting pieces to their “typical caro kann” positions without truly understanding the crucial positional aspects and have good games as caro kann usually threw similarly skilled opponents for a loop
but against stronger players i would very often end up in horrible positions without knowing why- and even when played correctly the caro kann can have black in very odd looking positions-
(despite my own problems with the caro kann the opening really helped me learn how to defend an attack on king and helped with learning to play “out of the box”- as many games would result in no castling at all and odd pawn structures)
personally, because so many games are out or book so early i am now playing 1...c5 vs 1.e4 (mainly because the c5 push was often the pivot point of a successful caro kann game so i just figured why not move there on first move...)
everything after is just winging it- i really have no sicilian theory at all
anyways- good luck in your search; i will be interested to see what others have for suggestions
Hello,
I want to look for a book with many caro kann games which are explained. I have problems against e4 and I just need help to understand the caro Kann defense. The problem is that I know some move orders and some plans but I need games to understand the Caro Kann better.
I can play Bf5 against the classical variation. Against the advance variation I play 3.Bf5 and I want to avoid early endgames because I want to create winning possibilities. So my question is which are good books for the caro kann defense(rather an explained game collection).
