Probably one of the greatest enemies of positional chess for players is patience, or the lack of it. Many players want to find a devastating move with every move, in doing so many, many times they force or try to force something that just isn't there. Positional chess is about finding good squares for your pieces, improving your position with every move and building small advantages with every move you make. Once again, patience is the key.
As for resources, there are many good books out there, however, I have found that there are many, many good videos on YouTube on positional play.
Good Luck!
According to Aimchess and my coach, my positional play is weak compared to my tactics and other things related to my chess game. How can I improve my my positional play? Is there any courses on chessly/chessable or any tasks I can do to become better? Cant wait to hear your responses. Thank you for your help.
