"Okay, so you dabble a bit into them but are undisciplined and won't invest the time"
Iike me.

Maybe you find a friend and study books together. It is lots of fun and learning

I've done 1, 2, and 3 but hopefully not the rest..
Becoming a chess master doesn't indicate when the "start point" is. Becoming a chess master within 24 hours is a simple process for some - no chess reading required during the 24 hour period!
Step 1: Already be a strong chess player right on the edge of completing the necessary rating/norms.
Step 2: Complete the last bit within 24 hours.
Step 3: Enjoy the fact that you are now a titled chess master
Bonus: No cheating involved in this process xD
I think there is only one kind of Master you can become in only 24 hours and (and it's not chess) -
can confirm
It's very possible, for an engine.
It is 100% impossible for a human being. Now if you are something besides human that's a different story but since all people on earth are of mankind this is not doable for anyone, even the most brilliant of chess minds!
Tbh, only read one chess book in my life by accident X_x.
I have never read a chess book, never had a coach. I started playing four years ago as well. I just learn by repetition, playing blitz games and doing puzzles.
Sounds like a better plan than that guy who tried to beat Magnus Carlsen after 1 month of learning chess.
@Deranged
There is no need to bring that guy into this conversation, sure he made a mistake, but we don't have to make it a compliation... I think it is a good thing to notice what is happening on the forums, however I don't think we should cross forum topics all that often, I just think staying in the topic would be the best idea for all of us.
Also it is not a productive post.

Did you see some of the other things he’s done in 1 month?

Then realize you need multiple accounts to really do this gig, and also make a few fake accounts telling people you are below 400 ratings and can't get better no matter how hard you try and ask for advice. That is one strategy. One sentence, "I suck, help." Works too, for the lazy troll.
