how to get more young female players interested

Hi @ChessGirlPoppy
Those are both great YouTube channels to watch. I also have a chess channel where I help others with chess as well, but I'm basically just starting out: https://www.youtube.com/@kesetokaiba/videos
Another YouTube channel I like a lot is https://www.youtube.com/@DanielNaroditskyGM because "Danya" breaks down really advanced ideas in such a way that all levels can learn.
As for women in the chess community, I'd like to see more of a surge as well, but historically speaking, it wasn't so friendly towards women. That has begun to change over the last several decades though. Even at my local chess club (in-person), we have several women chess players.
If you want to play some unrated live chess someday, for learning purposes, we could also play if you like. See you around chess.com

No offense, i know this is not related to the topic but you don't look like a 15 year old. You look like a teenager in her 20s.

I'll be happy to mentor you! My name is Lauren Goodkind and I am a well established lady chess teacher based in California.
Here’s more ideas to help you get better.
-I recommend a book for you: “Queen For A Day: The Girl’s Guide To Chess Mastery.” This book is available on Amazon.com. This book is endorsed by the 2019 and 2022 US Women's chess champion!
- Check out the 500 puzzles for beginners. These puzzles are unique and cannot be found anywhere else: . These puzzles are endorsed by chess masters!
-If you are serious about chess, I highly recommend you hiring a chess coach to help you.
-Also consider all checks and captures on your side and also your opponent’s side. Always as, “If I move here, where is my opponent going to move?”. Do this for every single move!
-Play with a slow time control, such as G/30 so you have plenty of time to think before every move.
-Beginners tend to move too quickly, so in general, think for at least 10-15 seconds before moving.
Your job is to never make any silly blunders!
In addition, chess game analysis is a great way to get better since I’ll identify the good and bad moves you made.
If you are interested in getting your chess game analyzed by me for FREE on my Twitch livestreams, message me your game(s). Getting your game analyzed is a great way to get better.
I livestream every Monday night around 9:30pm PDT, Wednesday night around 8pm PDT, and Friday afternoons around 2pm PDT on Twitch:
I also host two online chess tournaments in my chess.com club. You are welcome to join. Some of my students play in it.

Teenager is below 20

There are all-female chess camps, but generally chess tournaments are open to all, regardless of gender.

I subscribed, hope you do well.

Chomp on those hanging pieces like you're playing Pac-Man and you will be 1500 in no time
It takes way more than capture hanging pieces to reach 1500 chess.com rating, but I like the Pacman analogy and it is true to taking material offered to you will typically work well at the lower levels.
(At the higher levels, taking material is still a good default to think, but things are a bit more complex here as higher rated players are more likely to have traps if you take the material or compensation they can make use of such as your capturing piece becoming inactive etc.)
