Huge rating difference between Rapid and Blitz

Is on average 200 points lower than your rapid until you reach a certain elo* is what I wanted to say there, sry.
Isn't the difference a little too big? I have yet to see user here with such huge difference. It's usually said that your Blitz elo is on average 200 points lower to a certain elo. However, 500 points seems a little off the average here...
Anyone with the same struggle? I feel like 700 Blitz players are almost as strong as 1200s. I'd feel better if there are people with the same issue...
