While I may not be in a timezone often conducive to real time play, I am interested in taking chess seriously and improving my game. I would join you and your club in hopes of getting a better understanding of the game, or at the least enjoying the games and the journey toward better.
Looking to connect with other serious beginners for discussion and training games.

I am very new I would love too practice with you . I am too scared to play with different players because I would lose and lose points , so I play with robots (bots) . I am rlly younger then you.(I am 11) But I would love to play with you

Hello Guys,
I would also like to practice with you to get better just send a friend request, I prefer to play Rapid games from 15/10 and above

Hello, I'm not exactly a beginner... I'm at around 1400-1500 or so in classical but it'd be interesting to see a club devoted to studying, most of the clubs I'm in use a lot of tournaments. I've been playing chess for some years now and most of the game in the opening, when a lot of people 1000 and under get bad positions, comes from experience and many, many games. I haven't played any online time controls greater than 10 minute (takes too long) so I'm not sure what the relative ability of others are in terms of finding a good position and navigating towards it. I'd probably be happy to join though
Hi all!
I am looking for other beginners who are on a similar journey to me to talk about chess, and play some games together, help analyse each other's games, and just support each other in improving.
I am 29 and an adult beginner, sort of, I learned the rules of chess when I was young (maybe 11 or 12) but only played a handful of times at school with friends. After watching The Queen’s Gambit on Netflix I got really into the game and decided to pursue it as a hobby. My ambition is to become a titled player. I am aware this will take at least a decade and might be a bit ridiculous but that’s what I want! I am not capable of playing without a goal or without this ambition. I am serious about improving.
I set myself the goal of leaving the “novice” category (800-1200) by the end of the year. In the last three months I have improved from <800 rating to current mid 900 rating on chess.com most of that has been in the last month as the first two months were a mess of not knowing what to study, playing with different openings ect. I am winning around 60% of my games. As a side note I play 30 minute rapid games, I am not interested in daily, blitz or bullet chess.
I have a full time physical job and a baby so my time is a little thin. I study for an hour each day in the morning and play one rapid (30 minutes) game in the evening and then analyse. Current study is split between solving tactical puzzles on chess.com and slowly going through Jesus de la Villa’s 100 Endgame’s book on Chessable. I am not studying opening as per the advice of everyone. But I have learned the first half dozen moves of my openings. I play e4 as white and prefer the Italian. As black I play the sicilian dragon against e4 and the King’s Indian Defense against d4, c4, ect.
I started a club on chess.com called Blunderers Anonymous and I could set up a discord for game analysis but I am also happy to do a zoom call for analysis. I live in Spain and I am mostly able to interact in the evening most days starting after 8-9pm. I am really interested to hear how other people are studying and just to talk about chess in general. Send us a reply if you are interested in improving as a beginner too and we can set up some rapid training games or connect to help each other out.
