My wife wants to play chess!

You can start by telling what each piece on the board does and how it moves and how it can capture other pieces
In the good old days, my wife would agree to play 5+0 vs 1+0 with me, and it was lots of fun. I think I simply can't checkmate anyone in the world in just one minute if he/she castles, but she usually (and stubbornly) refused to do it, so I managed to win most of the games.
My wife, a retired univ prof, showed interest, so I contacted support to ask if a family membership might be available. Katrina, in support, said no, but if my wife would join, Katrina would send a gift to her username. So, Join she did, but so far no gift. She's having fun anyway, but Katrina's renege does seem like a touch-move violation... :-)....

Try to lose, while explaining the legal moves, how to attack, capture pieces, and the even the difficult moves such as en peasant, so you will encourage person that want to learn chess.

OP last online Feb 11th 2020. This was the day he tried to explain to his wife that stalemate is a draw and that she had not in fact won their latest game. It would have been her first win against him. Nobody has seen or heard from him since.

Most women do not like chess. If they still care about their husbands they may start to play simply to do something with him.
Playing a game to prove the other person is either foolish or not careful usually is not attractive to women. Most would rather go shopping.
