I always believed that bishops are better than knights, because of the range. However I just played a game, where I exchanged bishop for knight cuz I felt the position demanded it(pure instinct). The knight completely dominated the bishop. When Ben Finegold says NF5 is really good, I kinda just underestimated it and believed that Knife f5 is just a slogan. Here however, I realised even though it isnt always true, the knights can be extremely strong.
'Knife f5'...nice game. Depending on the position of course, in pure statistical evaluation it is thought that a knight on the 5th or 6th rank that cannot be exchanged or chased away is worth almost as much as a rook. I think Kasparov said this.
