Opening
I like the Queen's Gambit. A decent bit of consistency, few people ever take so many of my games play out relatively the same way with Queen's Gambit Declined. I occasionally get the Englund Gambit but I know how to deal with that.
I'd say that there's not really a "best" opening for chess. However, I find myself liking e4 better than d4 because e4 tends to have a less sharp and more memorable position.
Probably d4. If we look at the top level, then Magnus used to play e4 but he got closer to the top he switched to d4. Also e4 I guess has some drawing lines for black related to ruy lopez berlin wall variation. And e4 also allows sicilian defense which is considered a powerful defense. Maybe d4 is tougher for your opponent so if pick one, then d4.

I already posted about the Queen's Gambit, but I've started to enjoy e4, usually going for the Italian game. I especially like the Evans Gambit and the Damiano Gambit.
