Opening Explorer

Beginner here. Embarrassing question. When using the opening explorer, when you make a move, it appears to list possible responses to each move. Alongside the response is a number (1, 5, 38, 44, etc.) and a bar broken into percentages (e.g. 60% white, 30% gray, 30% black). What do these numbers represent? Is 1,5,48, etc the number of next moves based on playing the suggested move? Are the percentages win rate per color for the game? And, what does it mean when a suggested move reads 1, 100%? Thanks for helping a rook(ie) and tolerating bad jokes.

The Opening Explorer is pulling from ChessDotCom's database of games played by Masters (there are additional settings you can use to explore your games or the games of another person on the site).

The first number (e.g. 1, 5, 38, 44) are the number of games this position has been achieved in that database.  The percentages of White/Gray/Black refer to White Winning/Draw/Black Winning.
