opponents intentionally stalling in mate in 1 situations

Just for the last game it was a backrank mate in 1 and my opponent kept me waiting for longer than 2 minutes it was a 400 puzzle no way he was finding for something else. It is happening quite a lot so i thought i can premove and left my phone ..but obviously it did not work. Does premoves not work if the app is not open? chess.com really should look into this stalling. from my experience many people do this and and some people really get a win with this. This is the first time i lost my patience. even before opponents made me wait for 5 or 7 minutes. So its not just this game. my bad i left my phone it got locked. But i hope this kind of players are getting reported

I do not think there's any point reporting them because technically they do not do anything wrong. Sure it's extremely bad sportsmanship (timing out in a clearly lost position), but being a jerk is not against the rules. You can block such players, but given the size of the player pool at chess.com, there's not much point doing it either.

The only advice I can think of is to grow thick skin and learn not to get upset by such sore losers.

Incorrect. Stalling is a Fair Play violation. You can indeed report them for it.

Well, apparently you are right, I stand corrected: you can report it. I find it strange though, because it is clearly within the rules and not any sort of cheating.

Even if it isn't cheating, it's disrespectful. Would you like to be kept waiting for 20 minutes when you have a mate in 1 position?

I totally agree that it is very bad sportsmanship, and very frustrating when it happens to you (and it has happened to me many times), but it is within the rules of chess. There's another site where I have played dailies for a real long time, and there they explicitly say that even though they appreciate that stalling can be very frustrating, they do not sanction it because it is not against the rules.

Well the problem is it used to happen less frequently before and i was like well you are wasting your time too. But it isn't rage stall now ..people intentionally doing this rn and thinking themselves smart. The thing is my premove didn't work. I just wanted chess.com app to take my premove even my app is running on the background
