You are looking at it the wrong way. You are not overanalyzing. If you want to improve your game, you need to think about the position. It is obvious that you need to play longer games if you are losing due to time trouble. 10 minutes per side is a bit fast for optimal improvement. 60 minutes per side is much better, 30 minutes per side is pretty good as well. I would say that 15|10 is the absolute minimum you should play, but if you are playing that you will still play worse than you would in longer time controls.
overanalyzing?
I have actually started trying the 15/10 format but did not consider 60min games at all. Ill give that a shot thank you for the advice

You are welcome. Yeah, and you don't have to play too many games that way. It is better to play 1 higher quality longer game than a bunch of short ones.
I started playing a few days ago and somehow got the 1100 badge or whatever. When I started watching lessons and instructional videos I fell all the way to sub 700. Almost 20 losses in a row, and most of them due to running out of time. I just broke my losing streak right now by playing reasonable opening moves as fast as I could I used my opponent's time to think about my moves.
Any thoughts on this matter? am I overanalyzing at my rank? was this a good tactic to use? Have I just not played enough games and maybe had an unlucky streak?
Edit: i added the game i just played to possibly help with advice
Edit: also if anyone has good chess books for beginners or sub 1000 you recommend please drop them here
Looking at your first few games, it looks like your opponents just played really badly and you got a bit of a lucky streak. You were giving away pieces, they ignored a few chances and gave them away even faster.
You are not overanalyzing, in fact you are doing the opposite. You are not paying attention to your games and making fairly random moves. I saw a game where both players were just giving away their queens at random, but neither of you bothered to even take them with several chances.
Play a slower time control where you have time to actually think over your moves. Also, post your games and type out some of your thoughts on them.
