Should an 842 player be pitted against an 1100+ player?

Or is there not really much difference? 

I just played this game which I lost. I actually think I did better than against some of the 700 - 800 rated players I've faced. 

I think exchanging Queens worked against me for the endgame. I played White. 

How do others find the rating pairing? 

i think pairing should only be within 100 pts so it defiantly was an unfair fight however you did manage to win so congrats on that

You can choose the ratings window you wish to play. Somehow under settings.

My advice is to set it to like -50 +400, so that you play the strongest opposition possible. That also usually boosts your rating a bit.

Yeah, your queen is much better than your opponents' cuz its going aggresive on the king whereas your opponents' was a sitting duck.

+400 is probably overshooting. Your chances of a win are about 3% and the opponent is just going to be annoyed that you are wasting their time.

playing better people is exactly what you want to do because it improves you own play because you have to think more, not to mention you can ask question that they might answer

I do -50 +400 and destroyed the 2300/2400's when i was around 2200 ish

But yes, in general, I do think you'll benefit a lot from playing players in the 1000-1100 range when you're in the 800s.
