Hello. For tactics suggest Chess Tactics for Students by Bains. For general learning try Logical Chess by Chernev. It is a collection of GM games for beginners, annotated to teach basic principles. Look for modern algebraic edition. Older editions have old notation which is a nuisance but workable if it's all you can find.
