No, but seriously. If a move looks good immediately, THINK A LOT about it first. Think think think. Take your time to think. Especially at the lower ELO’s, players are blundering all over the place. Taking an extra 5-10 seconds to scan every piece to see if that pawn is REALLY hanging is a game changer!

I like what you wrote! I tell students to ask questions before they make a move, to avoid making silly mistakes.
