You're playing 30 minute games, so this should help you to slow down and concentrate. I had a look at your last game which you lost...it's not that you were blitzing out moves, but you can afford to take longer - you still had 15 minutes left at the end. In that game there was a bit of a mixture of dubious play and lack of concentration - not a combination that will bring you too many wins! Firstly you danced about with your knight, wasting time, neglecting development and the centre of the board. Develop all your pieces as fast as possible and castle your king. Don't go off on adventures before doing this. And try to control the centre of the board as if you can do this better than your opponent it gives you good chances to win. You also dropped 2 pieces in quick succession, leaving them hanging. I can only think this was a lack of concentration because they were under attack and you didn't do anything about it. To have a chance to win games and get better you simply must not lose pieces in simple fashion like this. Use the time you have in 30 minute games to check carefully on every move that you are not losing material. It's annoying to lose right? So remember this and use it as motivation to try your absolute best in every game. If the other guy is better then so be it, but make your opponents work hard to beat you, don't give them presents and make it easy for them.

Hi! My name is Lauren Goodkind and I’m a chess coach based and chess book author based in California.
I have tips to help you win more games!!!
Before each move, I highly encourage you ask questions before every move such as, “If I move here, is it safe?”, “Can I safely capture a piece?”, and more.
Also consider all checks and captures on your side and also your opponent’s side. If you are past this stage, then find a forcing winning line.
I recommend playing with a slow time control, such as game in 30 minutes or longer. You need time to think. Beginners tend to make a lot of silly moves with very little time. This makes sense since there’s a lot of pieces on the board.
I also offer a free beginner’s free eBook on my website, www.ChessByLauren.comin case you are interested. The book is about asking questions before each move.
Learn basic tactics such as the fork, discovered attack, pin, and more. I offer interactive puzzles on my website: https://www.chessbylauren.com/two-choice-puzzles.php
I recommend two books for you: “50 Poison Pieces” and “Queen For A Day: The Girl’s Guide To Chess Mastery.” Both books are available on Amazon.com.
If you are serious about chess, I highly recommend you hiring a chess coach to help you.
I hope that this helps.
