What does the pieces do ?

the bishop can move diagonal, the knight can move like a "L", the rook can move in a straight line ( up and down ), the queen can move diagonally and in a straight line like the bishop and the rook, the pawn can only move one square forward or if in the top left or top right, the pawn can eat the piece, if you are gonna move the first time of your pawn in the game you can move 2 or 1, and if it goes to the opposite line of your opponent, the pawn gets a promotion. you can choose a queen, the bishop a knight, and a rook, but, you can't choose the king. The most important piece is the king. The king can move a short line like the queen ( only one square ).
