A blunder is a move that loses the game.

Lets say you have a choice between 2 moves: A mate in 1, and winning a queen.  Lets say you miss the mate in 1 and win a queen.  That move will be labeled a blunder.

In terms of the analysis engine, a blunder is a large change in the analysis in your opponents favour. I dont know the threshold but it is around 2 points. As @IMBacon says, a blunder might be an error that loses you the game, or you may already be losing and it loses you the game more quickly, or you may be winning and the blunder means you win less quickly. Blunders are just large errors in play. Sometimes they decide the outcome, othertimes they dont.
