Probably just prophylaxis (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prophylaxis_(chess)) and waiting (will Black play 0-0 or ..?). Avoiding any later checks (on the a7-g1 diagonal) or pins (Nd4) and making room on g1 that may be used by a Bishop or Rook.

Hello - much too often I would see Kh1 move in a game. I almost never understand the point of it. Please explain. Here's a sample game where that was played (the game was Vogt-Andersson in 1975):
