where are the rated bots?

Funnily enough they are rated when you click on their names in the "play against computer" feature. But you can't play rated games against them, except for the Komodo engine itself, which has still been graciously allowed to accept Live rated/unrated challenges. If that too goes, then I may permanently switch over to some other site. As a very weak chess player who still likes to play the game, playing rated bot games is my main comfort zone.

An idea for u: stop playing for Rating, play for Accuracy. What u think?

I'm playing for fun, not rating, but it helped that playing rated games against bots helped me stabilise at my natural rating level. Now I guess I'll have to do it with people. As for accuracy... lol, inability to calculate deep lines... there is only so much I can do. I don't kid myself that I'm a serious chess player.

Another problem is if you play the bots now, you can't go back and analyze your games at the end of the week. I'm not so worried about it being rated or unrated, but I did enjoy looking back at the games later. It helped me improve and one of the reasons I upgraded my membership. Once you move to a new game, your unrated game no longer exists anywhere.

You could always take a picture of the move list if you want to analyse later.
