So I started playing Chess on here in April and I have a few questions.
The site marks my current ELO as 529. I've noticed that it drops pretty quickly when I play against other players, as I blunder a lot and tend to move forward a bit blindly. Or I aggressively attack and sacrifice my pieces to no end when I really can't afford to do so. So why is it that I do better with Aron-Bot, which seems to have an 700 ELO? I know intuitively that my rating isn't high whatsoever, I even mess up with the puzzles, but I'm curious as to the accuracy of the bot's rating? Is it programmed to be more predictable, and that's why I perform better with it rather than other players?
chess bots are designed to make mistakes that are easy to spot, I additions they play lots of inaccuracies and sometimes don't follow through with their "plans"
