Hi,

Newbie here. Why cant I kill the black queen on h6 using my  white knight on g4 ?. It wont let my knight make any moves from that square. Am I missing a rule or is this a chess.com bug.

Hi,

the reason you can't take the queen on h6 is because the rook on g8 is pinning your knight.

There is a black rook on g8 that is pinning your knight to your king. In other words, you cannot move the knight, because if you take the black queen, the black rook would be able to take your king, causing you to lose. Therefore chess.com makes it illegal to move your knight

Well, we don’t really kill the queens. We need them for the rematches.
