You stalemated your opponent. A stalemate occurs when it is a player's move and they have no legal moves. This results in a draw by stalemate. In this game when you took your opponent's last remaining pawn they had no legal move for their king, and no other piece left on the board.
Why did this game end in a draw?
ok thanks, I understand your explination, though i dont really get the logic behind this? I had him completely cornered, i feel robbed of a win!
I'll need to study this for the future to avoid a repeat of this, just seems like a very odd rule?

Your mistake was on move 33, You should have moved
33. f1#
Avoiding stalemate can be hard and it is a skill that must be mastered at the beginners level.

yes, I'm 1000 rated in chess.com. I feel robbed also when stalemate happens, it's the worst feeling when you're up a whole bunch of material.
Can someone enlighten me as to why this game ended in a draw? I was about to take the win when it was declared a draw.
I'm aware via post analysis i missed a couple of clear chances at checkmate, but hey ho, its a learning curve.

This was the latest game you played.
The second latest game also coincidentally ended in a stalemate - and you were the side being stalemated. Your opponent probably felt robbed of his win as well.
Stalemate is there for a good reason - to allow a chance for the losing side to escape a loss. A lot of drawn endgames are made possible due to this rule.

In six of your seven stalemates in the game archive, you were the side being stalemated, and escaped with draws.
