Your favourite opening and why?

I like Ruy Lopez, you get a central pawn, develop a knight and then a bishop. Then you are prepared to castle kingside.

I like the queen's indian defence a lot. I was having quite a bit of difficulty finding something against d4, c4, Nf3 that I liked. It can be played in an accelerated version which cuts out the need to pair it with something else (such as the Nimzo-indian).

Caro-Kann, just reliable and solid and it can lead to very interesting positions even when some regard it as a bit passive.

Caro-Kann,Leonardis variation specially.I like to play with blacks,I,m no very good in tactic movements so I prefer to change queens as soon as possible :-(

I've been focusing on the King's Indian. I like how you make the king safe early on so it's good if you are blunder prone with checkmates.
Downfall is if your oppenent knows to attack the pawn structure on the king's side and you give over control of the centre.

Sicilian Najdorf. Because it generates crazy positions.
Sorry - got ya there! Winawer is crazier!
