
18 Queens Problem

Pavrey: just assume it is a mathematical problem. I was thinking not to show this solution, but then nobody would send any :). But maybe now it is possible?
So, can you find a solution in less then 53 moves? They say 48 to be the shortest and I don't know why. Do you understand why?

Heh... didn't take that long. I mean it's obvious that you need to double up the pawns. It took me about 15 minutes.
A few years ago I tried to find moves to get 18 queens + 2 kings on the board.
It is real fun to find the shortest path to achieve this.
Can you find a better path? The main problem is king in check :).
