I've heard of one guy who always played 8 grand master but would always win half which is 4.

Right same trick.  Have them play each other, four black and four white.

Extremely funny video! Maybe I can defeat Politicalmusic with white by playing against ouachita with black!

Try searching "Derren Brown chess" on the video search engine there.  It should come up.

VERY IMPRESSIVE!!

wow, btw thats a great strategy to do on this website, so u play 2 people much higher than you, and make em play each other, and then u'll lose 1 of the games, but u'll win the other, so u'll gain rating becuase both of the people are higher rated than you

You can watch it through an online anonymiser.

Simuls dont work the way the video depicts. The simul giver normally has white on every board and is expected to move as he comes to each board.

What's really crazy, is that I was just watching Derren Brown videos on youtube... then clicked over to chess.com and immediately ended up on this post!

Do you play chess with red circular pieces and triangular green pieces?

The funny thing is, I had never heard of him before tonight.  I was reading an article in the NY Times about his show, then went and searched out some videos and was watching them.  A little spooky!

I've heard of one player playing correspondence against two high-level players in a similar fashion, with a two-to-one wager on each game, but not in a simul against 9 players. Cheap, but effective.Cool
