Chess comic

Here's a comic I've had in my head for a while.  Maybe you'll enjoy it!

Is the idea that one person says 'en passant' like it's a comand, and then the other says 'passant on' as if he's turned it on or something?

I think the second part is something like, pass it on, yo!

hahaha, I was afraid not many people would get it.

In rock climbing, the climber is supposed to ask "on belay?" to the person who stays on the ground (the belayer).  The belayer then replies "belay on" if everything is attached and ready to go.  This line of communication is supposed to prevent accidents like the one almost experienced by LisaV!

Incidentally, when is the off-season for climbers?
