Chess Mysteries of Sherlock Holmes

Thought I'd mention this great volume of short stories ala Sherlock Holmes and based on chess games in a variety of ways.  I read it many years ago but just found a new copy and am enjoying it even more now that I'm a little older and wiser!  It's a great companion to the "complete works of" stories!

The potential reader should be aware that these are all retrograde chess problems, i.e. you are asked to deduce what happened earlier in the game given a final position. Fun, but not really a way to improve one's chess.

Is that the title of the book? "Chess Mysteries of Sherlock Holmes"?

Im a member of a Sherlock Holmes book club so that would really be worth looking into for me.

"Chess Mysteries of Sherlock Holmes" by Raymond Smullyan

I didn't mention it as a learning experiance, but as a group of fun to read short stories written in the Sherlockian style.  It's a good read!
