Dry (mostly) up here in NoCal as well. These are nice pics, they get plenty of views, but I felt somebody just had to leave a comment.
I also enjoyed your photos of Japan.
Thank you! Any suggestions are welcome for future ideas.

WOW! Just WOW!
The light wind, the table, the chess set, and above all, the grayscale color - amazing.
Now, where can I find your other photos? I would love to see them all for I'm sure they're as much artistic as this one. And of course, thanks for sharing

Thank you for the kind words! I post my "for fun" photos on flickr, http://www.flickr.com/jgophotography , and some of my old wedding/modeling work can be found on my business site, http://www.sans35.com
This is my fourth photograph in a set I'm doing where I aim to fuse the theme of chess and the feeling of the current month. February is the last full month of winter, which usually means cold weather, but here in Los Angeles it's just dry and breezy. Nothing compares to sitting outside on a bright, clear day with a sharp breeze freezing your hands like the army on the board.
