MARCH (chess)

This is my fifth photograph in a set I'm doing where I aim to fuse the theme of chess and the feeling of the current month.  March is a capricious month, you can never say with certainty what it will be like.  And like the aimless feeling of the month is how you may classify this photo and my current mindset.  So let's allow these washed-out, captured white pieces to represent a month of anticipation for the next!

That singular pawn that seems to be shunned by the rest of the pieces adds a certain touch for which I can't think of an appropriate adjective.

Well, if your a fan of Lewis Carroll, March Hare is phonetically quite close to March Chair, so it's an understandable mistake.

I liked the photo very much. Thanks for posting it here.

Thanks!  I really didn't think this one through too much but I fear if I forget about this little project for just one month I'll end up stopping all together.  But now that Kryojenix points out that pawn in the back, I find myself drawn to it!  Thanks again guys.

The positive feedback is very encouraging, after some self-criticism I came up with a bunch of new ideas.  I'll try and actualize them soon.

There should be a hat in there too. Wonder how many would have made the connection with March?
