Chess Poem - A Knight To Remember

Hello Fellow Chess Players!

I have decided to get back into writing and I found no better way to practice those skills than to write chess content. After all, chess is the game of royalty, and I myself, am nothing of the sorts. Wait...

Regardless, here is a chess poem that will start off the many forum posts that are about to be made by this old fool over here.

A Knight To Remember

She boldly said that I was Grimm

Just sitting by the edges.

But how could she have known herself,

The lack of consequences.

With temper, anger, and a dream,

I hopped into my square,

And found myself to shout in glee

Checkmate, and please beware!

With shock and awe, she turned away,

And cried out to the sky,

"Why God, why must I pay?

The price with my own life!"

Back to the edge, I sit in peace,

Remembering the story,

When I was labeled Grimm and old,

But I got all the glory!

Have a great week everyone! And please remember, stay safe out there.

P.D.
