They made a 20in x 20in chess board based on this one; but it cost almost $400.

This looks like an early 'chess engine' - use of which is not allowed on this site. I'm not even sure whether you're allowed to post pictures of them.

Not strictly a toy - more a sensible precaution.

I had a great inflatable set. Unfortunately, I lost most of the pieces, but I still have the 2 queens.
I still play with them sometimes.

I saw a chess set once which was comprised of shot glasses which resembled the pieces. Each was filled with your favorite libation and when you captured a piece... well you've already guessed. The best strategy of course, was to sacrifice so that your opponent would get too drunk to finish the game. But after a while... oh, who cares. Let's go find some girls!
