Foreign countries

I am up to 211 countries now. Part of the reason I'm doing it is because I can't travel internationally right now, with the COVID restrictions. So doing it vicariously with chess.
Am looking forward to playing chess face to face again.
If you ever make it to Tucson, AZ let me know.

It took less than a month, once I figured out you can filter who is online by country, rather than depending on random match ups. Today I finished all 237 countries listed on the passport list.
To the left are icons, if you put your cursor on the one for speaking bubbles, you get a popup window and "members" is a choice. Click on members, and then filter by country. It will show you who is online and who recently left and who is currently playing. You can challenge people, but then it's a time sink to see if they accept or decline. Good luck is anyone else tries this. There were about 6 countries I had never heard of before, so it was fun and educational.

Every day I checked my passport award. It would be great if they add a world map to see.
just google world map

yeah, well, you need to think about the amount of work needed to implement that and if it's worth it. i mean, would that feature serve the majority of players or just a few?
I love playing chess with people from other countries. I am up to 133 countries so far, and really like how chess.com keeps track of those matches in my passport awards.
Would be nice if chess.com allowed a filter to only pick an opponent from a new place, as sometimes it takes weeks before I get to collect a new country. Seeing a world map of the places I have played would be nice too.
Anyone know how the "countries" get picked? I see that Scotland, England, Wales, and the UK are each listed, yet UK dependencies like St. Helena, Tristan Da Cunha are not. I know SH and TDC are not officially countries, but places like Puerto Rico are listed, so I'm a bit confused as to how the passport countries get decided.
