Forfeit of Fischer-Karpov Match a Hoax! Event Actually Took Place!

Wait a second; didn't the Soviets ban chess in Antarctica?
Yes! You are correct, oinquarki. The Soviets did ban chess in Anarctica back in the 70's. But the then president of Antarctica, Vanilla Ice-Tea McCube, secured a temporary deal with Moscow to allow the match to go forward: The Soviets would lift the ban in exchange for Brezhnev's visa. Rumour has it the Russians also threw in a couple of bottles of vodka.

Stunning revelation! World Chess Championship of 1975, long believed cancelled, actually did occur. Amazing fact was closely-guarded secret for decades, thanks mainly to crafty machinations of Soviet chess establishment. Ironically, Bobby Fischer's own contempt for media helped bring this about.......In 1975, after months of contentious negotiations, Bobby finally did agree to play by FIDE regulations, as long as match is held in "out-of-way place, away from prying eyes of press!".
Remote venue was chosen, and play began in fall. Immediately following conclusion, all records, tapes, score sheets, etc. were quickly spirited away by Leonid Brezhnev himself. They were taken to Moscow and locked in vault near Lenin's tomb. Only recently did they become uncovered. Now, thanks to generousity of Russian Federation, this historic event is made public for whole world to enjoy......In preliminaries, Karpov drew white. For game 1, Bobby replied with old favorite.
I took out definite, and some indefinite, articles - to give it little bit more Russian feel.

You could also change all w's to v's, and v's to f's.
But not in that order, else you will end up with all you w's being f's too, and people will say 'FTF?' instead of 'VTF?'

Fantastic idea, chesse_chames ! You know, as I read it out loud, I actually developed a fairly passable Russian accent. However, I think Leonid Brezhnev should be changed to "Comrade Brezhnev", and Bobby Fischer maybe to "Robert James".......That's would be the icing on the cake, or the borscht or whatever....
that would be icing on cake
