can't really say I'm surprised. I'm sure everyone over 1800 has at some point been accused of using a computer after some particularly devastating move.
Fun Conversation After I Won a Blitz Game

I beat a guy over 2000 once, and he accused me of cheating, and said if my moves matched the computer, he would report me. Of course, he didn't, as I wasn't cheating.
I think chess.com should implement a rule that if someone accuses someone else of cheating, and can't back it up, they should lose more rating points.
Oddly never been accused of cheating here yet. I've BEEN cheated, but never had the honor of being mistaken for one =/ I'm jealous :P It must have looked cool whatever you did lol

lol, it is. Sadly, I'm apparently among the ranks not good enough to be considered an idiot yet :P
LOL! An aspiring idiot! Can I join your club? Or do you have a support group for this? Don't give up now... with some hard work and a little luck, you might become an idiot!

All I can think is that in both games I offered an early Queen exchange. Some players don't realize that it is possible to play, and even win, without queens on the board.
lmao, I love it. Everybody assumes. Oh, queenless game, how drawish...it must be a draw, no other pieces matter in chess.
Queenless games are a really good test of skill. Queens are usually depended upon as a correctional tool rather than a chess piece. They're put into areas where the person imagines the general idea of a counterattack and more often than not, there IS something there because of how powerful a piece it is, but the fact that such a plan exists is largely luck and the mentality is usually easy to defeat

Does there still exist in you, a little spark of joy at being accused of cheating? I think I would enjoy such a confrontation, whilst pretending to be outraged, of course!

It felt very good when I was!
I think sometimes even amateurs can have moments of glory where their tactics were so perfect it was as if a computer played them (for like 5 moves maybe!), it's just that this does not consistently happen.

I once had a higher rated opponent insinuate that I was cheating in a complicated position that was roughly equal or sligthly better for him, but probably defensible. It confused me sufficiently that I lost in another 7 or 8 moves. It was a strategy, as I later realized.
umm im bad and i dont go doing that im only 900 though so it is so they would have more reson to do that but hay that was intersting

Thruth of the matter is that i have played people on this site who surely used computers and it was't funny. I can always see if someone is "capable" of playing a move that only a very good player or computer can spot. Usually it's not tactical move but a deep positional once tha would lead to an advantage.
This just happened...I've been accused of it before...
No Name: you [expletive] computer !!!!
No Name: idiot !!!!
bigdoug: ill take that as a complement
No Name: stupid idiot !!!!
bigdoug: don't blame your loss on a computer
bigdoug: im not using one
bigdoug: look at my games, i lose quite few myself
bigdoug: besides if i used a computer i'd be over 2600, not some crappy 1600
bigdoug: so get over it
