I know that Halo 3 has come out, but I haven't played it yet (excuse me!). However, if someone were to create a Halo 2 based chess set, this is what I would do with the pieces. There would actually be three teams, and you wont understand why unless you play the game.
UNSC (Humans)
Pawns= Marines with either SMG or Battle Rifle
Rooks= Marine Sergeants with rocket launchers
Knights= Marine Sgts with shotgun
Bishop= Marine Sgts with snipers
Queen= Master Chief
King= Either Cpt. Miranda Keyes or the Admiral from the beginning of the game.
Covenant Elites
Pawns= Grunts with either plasma pistols or needlers
Rooks= High Council Elites with swords
Knights= Hunters
Bishops= Blue Elites with dual wield plasma rifles or needlers
Queen= Arbiter with sword and plasma rifle
King= Silver Elite (known as Half Jaw) with dual swords
Interesting idea. If my craft skills were better, I would like to make a Warhammer 40K chess set one day. Heck, I'm surprised that GW hasn't done it already.
