I tell people that all the time. It's nice to know that I can now quote "wise words" from someone else without sounding like I'm dishing out a personal, condescending lecture!
Most interesting Chess quote..!

Which is the most interesting chess quote you have ever heard..?
My favourate chess quote is...
“That's what Chess is all about. One day you give your
opponent a lesson, the next day he gives you one”-
Bobby Fischer

Chess is a form of intellectual productiveness; therein lies its peculiar charm. Intellectual productiveness is one of the greatest joys--if not the greatest one--of human existence. It is not everyone who can write a play, or build a bridge, or even make a good joke. But in chess everyone can, everyone must, be intellectually productive, and so can share in this select delight. I have always a slight feeling of pity for the man who has no knowledge of chess, just as I would pity the man who has remained ignorant of love. Chess, like love, like music, has the power to make men happy - Siegbert Tarrasch
Chess is a fathead and feudal game - Georges Perec
It's the horsey-shape piece that moves in an L shape. It's what makes chess complicated, and why stupid people can't play chess. Go play checkers! Knights are the first piece you look at. They elevate the game. No chess master wants to lose her knights - Courtney Love

Chess is the touchstone of the intellect. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Chess is the struggle against error. Johannes Zuckertort
