Although they didn't understand yet all the subtleties...

Exactly,  Louis. He is very playful.  We took him last Saturday from Germany.

Abby is saying;

"That kitten has only been here a few days and look he thinks he's gonna stop me castling Kingside. Gonna go ...Ng4. Ha deal with that 'Mr. KATsparov'." 🤣

No cat would blunder a rook so easily.

Awww gorgeous love cats have 2 myself. Mine just sit mesmorised by the chess pieces. I get the impression they are desperate to get their paws on them and knock them all over!

Sometimes one of them like to sit in the middle of the board, just like this. I posted already a picture of her in another thread.

I dont know how you are going to keep your sets intact with those 2 mischievous intelligent cats good luck with that lol. I had a Bengal so I know exactly what these breed of cats are like and how determined they can be!

I can't let the very expensive and fragile sets or computers on the table. I usually use robust chess sets, the rest is hidden from the cats.

Hopefully you have them locked away! My Bengal and Burmese could open every door and cupboard in the house. There was one heavy door they couldn't open alone and one would hang onto the other for additional weight to open it. My Burmese left a dead mouse in a frying pan for me in the kitchen cupboard. They are super intelligent happy.png

I had a cat doing similar things.  He was opening regularly the refrigerator, a nightmare for us.

Ah, the timeless combination of chess and cats! It's a match made in... well, an interesting and amusing realm. Imagine playing a game of chess with a feline companion by your side. As you ponder your moves, your cat saunters across the board, gracefully knocking pieces off and reminding you who the true ruler of the kingdom is. You might even find yourself engaged in a strategic battle of wits with your furry opponent, trying to outmaneuver their paws and whiskers. Just remember, when it comes to chess and cats, expect the unexpected and embrace the delightful chaos that ensues.
