World Champion is the highest official chess title. Carlsen has a reasonable chance to gain that title.
Should Carlsen be given the title of Hyper-grandmaster?

@pfren: I am talking about playing strength. "World champion" doesn't mean that he/she is the strongest player on earth. If what you say is right then Anand should be best among top players and also we should not use words like Super-grandmasters also!!

No, unofficial world champion is good enough. Anand is like Adolf Anderssen whereas Carlson is like Morphy.

Masters would understand what I am saying I think..
Spike out of Buffy?
I'm so glad they didn't kill him off. I thought Spike would be killed off at the end of season 2 since he was like the Master's replacement. Glad to see that Spike made it until the very end when it's implied that Angel beats up a dragon and him and his crew defeats a horde of demons after the credits role (last episode of Angel) The rebuilding from that looks like it's going to be a real hassle though.

Welcome to the chess forum. We have appreciated your input, raveloni and will miss you when you are gone.
We all know that highest officially given title to chess player is grandmaster and still we know that 2700+ grandmasters are much more stronger and even for normal grandmaster it is extremely hard task to have any chance against them. Thats why we invented an unofficial title 'Supergrandmaster'. But now we see one person.. Magnus Carlsen!! He is so strong that even for 2700+ player has very little chance to defeat him!! So why not to invent even higher title: call it Hyper-grandmaster.. I personally think that next chess generation would compete with today's Houdini and they should be called Hyper-grandmasters.. Though today I see only one such person.. Mr. Carlsen!! I would like to know your thoughts about this.. especially of masters on this site!!
