I figured this out then realized somebody had already posted!
I don't think Will Smith plays chess, so he must be the odd one out

Correct, they were all chessplayers...

OK, I don't mean to stir things up or anything...but are we absolutely sure that the Bingster never played chess? I mean, how exactly would you find this out...or tell...come to think of it? He must've said in some interview: "Good grief, I hate chess, and have never even gone near a board ever in my life."
In "The Even More Complete Chess Addict", by Mike Fox and Richard James, there is a section entitled 'The Famous'. Here is an excerpt:

They are referring to the ability to play chess, of course.
