Smile hi folks, just on acurious note....  whilst reading a topic on chess openings, by chesslover96,   i came across a photo by raybrooks of england of a martian chess set possibly 20ft square with large martian pieces.  would be interested to see photos of any other weird or wonderful sets out there..  hope others would be interseted to.   sue.

I have a simpsons chess set.

I have dreamed of a chess set made out of cheese. Naturally, the pieces would have to be replaced often.

to ivandh. like cheese but not that much.    chocolate liquers and you'd make a fortune.

Well, of course, I have a drinking set. Little shot glasses you fill with your poison - say vodka v whiskey. Take a piece and it must be drunk.....

I'm dissapointed, being an Edgar Rice Burroughs fan I was expecting a reeaallllly fantastic set like the ones played in his book titled "Chessmen of Mars". There was more than 1 version.

The most facinatin set that I have come across was Rock n Roll greats vs Jazz players. It was in New Orleans before the storm. Of course I couldn't afford it.
