Hm.  Would it be ok for you to say "It's bad enough losing to guys that are 10, but now I'm losing to black guys that are 12"?

Is there something wrong with you and your parents that you don't know better?

Where, oh where, is common sense gone?

It's not that common sense went anywhere, it's just that it never made it onto the Internet.

Yeesssss... THAT will help you sleep... NOT!

When I can't sleep I just watch a Simpsons DVD.  That puts me out pretty fast

One word:  Teletubbies

Valerian root has nothing on teletubbies.

I see your point but the analogy is not so strong.

As far as I'm concerned what he said is even MORE insulting than my analogy.  Maybe you can explain where the analogy is weak?  I'd love to hear this.

Good point.   Maybe he thinks discrimination is more acceptable when directed at Asian girls than African American boys?  Or maybe it's because the gender in the opening statement changed from boys to girls and yours didn't?

Either way both statements are horribly discriminatory.

I don't think AfafBouardi said they were American....

ReedRichards

Some parts of the world you are thought things like respect, discipline, politeness, fairplay, integrity etc....but not in others...discrimination is just an extension of such...

TheGrobe

Interesting that you should identify this as a geographically driven phenomenon.

goldendog

Wall abuser...shame...shame.

ReedRichards

"TheGrobe", not really geography per se, but rather " that part of the world(where ever it is geographically located) where one learns morals and values...it could be your parents and relatives, your schools, your pairs, whatever influences you, and where ever that place is located.

Kernicterus

I think Grobe was teasing about the American thing...obviously not all blacks or whites or olive skinned people are from one place.

I can vouch that geography has little to do with it.  I do like to think in America, there is an attempt at more consideration...but I've been all over and safely confirmed that it varies from nuclear family to nuclear family...not even culture to culture.  But a culture can decide what to tolerate.

Kernicterus

Oh my god, no you didn't.  lol

Ummm...whites are superior to blacks in chess.  So do you think as a measly whatever you are rated, you'd have the gall to say you can't believe you got beat by a so called chess inferior race or gender?  This response is laughable, tngerb

For those who are not even at a Master strength, I suggest you stop living in your delusional world.  There are a ****load of women and girls on the planet who could kick you from here to Nepal.

Kernicterus

tnger.  My words were precise.  When I was 14 and had to read Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter...it took me three times reading the first chapter it before I began to understand the huge thoughts he processed in few words.

I suggest you try the same.

Wow... I got a perfect score on my reading ACTs. Do you want to start comparing academic accomplishments? I'm happy to hear you can read...

First, what hillbilly town has you talking about ACTs?  Secondly...I don't believe you.  Anyone who could get a perfect score on his ACT reading would have the ability to comprehend the nuances of the above arguments.  Primarily that the OP was DISTRAUGHT at losing to a 12 yr old girl and made it appear more stunning than losing to a 10 yr old boy.  Where are you failing to comprehend that his dismay is stupid?
