2009 RCI Cup Undisputed Champion

12 Ne6!! was amazing. it truly showed the fragility of the king's position in the center - the knight penetration exposed this dearly.
16. Bc4!! might have been an even better move, because of the tactical combos that come after it.
by the 18th move white threatened Qh8+ and mate, so the rook was a goner - the whole point of the 16th move!
the way you first conducted the minor pieces to penetrate the weaknesses then the rooks to finish it up was truly like a one sided example of war fare - almost like the Blitzkrieg attack!
gg.

If black had only played Nxd4 at some point, he could have avoided this whole mess. But f6? was most likely a mistake either way, or at least inaccurate. 12. Ne6!! was beautiful.
I love the way you build up pressure from both sides of the board with eighty different pins.
Still . . . it seems you actually should have played 14. Qxh8, winning the exchange, because after 14. Nxg7? h8 15. Qxg6 Ne5! 16. Qg3 Rg8 17. Qf2 Rxg7, black is actually ahead in material, and you will be on the defense after 18. Be2 (preventing 18. ... Ng4). I'm not sure exactly how this position looks for white, but it's certainly not nearly as good as after 14. Qxh8 Nxh8 15. Nxd8 Kxd8.
EDIT: after looking around on the computer some more, the position after 15. ... Ne5! is very bad for white, probably losing. You're lucky black didn't find it!

None of those double exaclams moves were worthy of a double exclam. 12 Ne6 was obvious, and even a patzer like me would have seen it. Congrats on your wins, but your gloating is annoying. Also, this should go in Game Showcase, as you won this game - this is a place for analysing losses and not a place to fish for ego boosting comments.

sorry bro, I am just sharing my limited knowledge with my friends, on and offline, I am not gloating about anything, nothing to feel arrogant about anyway.

Sharing is fine, but you should post your won games in Game Showcase, which has been designed for this purpose. Also, please don't tell me you were being objective in your analyses, when clearly all you did were praise your moves and criticised your opponent's.
7...f6 is truly a strange move. Nice attack.
Black was in a very bad position from that point on.
Yeah, after 13...bxe6 the first wave of the attack would be repulsed, and white would still have to play well. There's definitely no close win of material or mate, but the pressure continues.
There is one thing:
14.Ng7+ is ? (at least). you should be doing very badly after that.
just 15...Nce5 and it is black who is probably winning.
(and 15...Rg8 is a blunder)
Just 14.Qxh8+ Nxh8 15.Nxd8 and white will emerge botha clear exchange up and with more active pieces. Not to mention black doesn't really want to exchange the pieces off because of white's potential outside passer on the h file.
After that mistake, you can also play 14.Bh6 immediately:) also wins.
nice game.

15. ... Ne5! and black is actually winning by a lot. -+ even. If you look at the board after 15. Qxg6 Ne5! 16. Qg3 Rg8 17. Qf2 Rxg7 18. Be2, white is way behind in material and black has the initiative and a very strongly placed knight on e5. Admittedly, his king is slightly exposed, but his kingside majority should make up for that. His black-square bishop is locked in, but playing an important defensive role. He does, however, need to spend some moves developing his queen and queenside rook, but white also needs to spend moves castling and dealing with threats on g4 and g2. My computer has the advantage at about 1.5 pawns, but without perfect play black can make it much more.

thanks for your comment Eebster :) I'll go take a look at the line you suggested it looks pretty interesting.

Ivankov my bro, nice to see you around :)
Got to say this is one of your hundred brilliant game till date, you duly deserve your title, but I can see that you're not really playing you're usual careful style, like how you did in the world youth U-14 last year. but it's a superb game, squeezing every last breathe from your opponent till the last move. Lastly, I must say Darren is playing below his usual standard.
Moves like Ne6!!, Bh6! and Bc4 are your trademark, congrate Ivankov :D
