An expert way to lose a won game

I normally don't play the normal Sicilians, but in this game I decided to try a main line with quite crazy results. I realize it's poor form to post your opponent's name, but when I asked permission to post the game and said I wouldn't use his name he said to go ahead and that he would have posted it anyways with the title "An expert way to lose a won game" so I can use his name. The game wasn't that great, but the ending was cool.

Yeah, I remember spotting my win right after moving d5...and when you played Qg7+, I realized I lsot that one, lol. Well done.

Oh, and 17. B-c8 was in preperation for the exchange sac on d4. After your bishop takes d4, and I reply with e5, the d6 pawn will be exposed after you move the bishop and I wanted to immediately play N-f4.

Good moves.  It's fun to play games that aren't too one-sided.  It's even more fun when they swing back your way at the end, too.

Well done on that game. As you said, it was very lucky

It is nice to see how other people play a variation that i am currently looking into...It gives me some fresh ideas to try.

It was interesting that you chose to give up the dark squared bishop as white because it leaves no challenger for blacks dragon bishop which is typically monsterous in the sicilian dragon.  In a couple of the GM games that i have looked at black has given up a rook to spare his dark square bishop!  14. h5 follows current theory if i remember correctly, although it weakens his kingside it serves to slow whites attack and buy some time for blacks counter chances to get going.

Nice game.
