Analysis Before the Blunder

OK, here's one loss of three from my first live tournament.  I thought this game was going OK.  I know I made one mistake in the end that my opponent overlooked.  Then I just blundered in a major way.  I just replayed the game and almost wept.  But, what I'd really like to know is how the game should have gone.  It seemed like it was just too passive.  I think, generally, that I don't quite focus on one goal enough, I may go from spot to spot.  Rather than just sealing any defense and really launching an attack.  Anyway here is the game, don't laugh at the end :-(

I inserted the diagram before the upcoming blunder.  If the advice for this part of the game is good I'll post the end and let you all have a chuckle Wink

It was a discovered check when he moved his king pointing his rook at my queen.  But what was truly horrible is that by bishop could have blocked and I didn't see that

Ok here is the rest

Should I have been attacking kingside?  Obviously I didn't do it well but without the blunder it at least seemed even.
